Torque sealant
Torque sealant is a varnish that is applied to mechanical fasteners and is primarily used in the following fields of application for use:
- Thread locker: to secure threaded connections
- Tamper indicator: to show whether threaded connections or components have been loosened without authorisation (often used in the context with warranty claims)
- Torque loosening indicator: as a torque loosening indicator to immediately detect loosening of safety-related fasteners
- Visual inspection marker: as a visual inspection marker to indicate that a bolted joint has already been properly tightened or any other workpiece has been inspected/approved
- Assignment indicator: to indicate which point in the production chain (e.g., production, installation, maintenance etc.) worked last on the workpiece at hand
Torque sealant is available in different colours and in transparent.
Most torque sealants currently available on the market are solvent-based. More environmentally friendly variants, for example water-based (VOC-free) torque sealants, have been gaining in importance in recent years as they are much gentler on humans and nature.
In addition to the Standard range and the Zero range, there is also the Fast Dry range:
A. Standard Range
The essential tool to protect, mark, fill and seal work involving all kinds of screw securing jobs.
